A wiki is a:

  • Living document (It grows continuously)
  • Collaborative effort
  • Encyclopedia type information
  • Starting place (Explaining the basics of a topic)
  • Road map to past, and present information
  • Enlightenment of future possibilities

A wiki is not a:

  • Static document (never/ or rarely needs updating)
  • Book
  • Academic paper
  • Magazine article
  • Blog
