-For data, a statistic obtained by sorting N data then selecting the middle one, number (N + 1)/2 in the list, if N is odd and the average of the two middle ones, numbers N/2 and N/2 + 1 if N is even. For a density function, the value m for which P(X < m) = 0.5.
-The Excel function that returns the median for a row or column of data. Often displayed as "MEDIAN".
